Qiviut Lace Shawls

The Nunavut Qiviut Lace Shawl has a beautiful open lace pattern in and is available in eight colours.  It is made of 50% qiviut and 50% silk 2-ply yarn from Nunavut Qiviut. This shawl fabric combines the warmth and softness of qiviut and the drape, silvery sheen, and strength of silk. The qiviut-silk blend creates a lasting, clear lace pattern. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor wear, and is ideal for special occasions and personal moments of luxury.  The qiviut lace shawl is a versatile accessory and can also be worn as a large scarf, or as a stole.

The combination of hand blended yarn, gentle yarn processing, and individual production, results in each piece being unique and full of life.

Each scarf is individually knit by hand on a hand-powered knitting machine. The weight of the scarf is about 3.6 oz and is about 20 inches wide and 50 inches long.

Care instructions: hand wash with a mild soap; gently squeeze excess water out; lay between towels and press; lay flat too dry.  Mid-temperature iron.
